Complex nose with smoky, animal notes, ripe red berries and a touch of peony ; pleasant mouth, full of flesh and sweetness with fine tanins, well-balanced and very long aftertaste (awarded four glasses in the 2003 Guide Hubert). Red ruby colour, very young, intense nose revealing ripe black berries and toasted coffee beans ; silky flesh and ripe tanins blending with fruity and spicy flavours (adapted by Y.L.C. , from Gilbert et Gaillard's tasting notes ; mark 85/100 ) The wine was awarded one star in the 2004 Guide Hachette des Vins
