our philosophy

Since we have always wanted to produce a wine in an earth-friendly estate, we have worked since 2005 according to biodynamic principles. The work consists in using preparations based on brews of mineral, vegetal, or animal origins used in limited quantities and « dynamised » (stirred) in water before spraying over the vineyard. Hence, no chemical pesticides nor weed killers. Our Nature should be considered as a living being so that the vinetree grow in harmony with its soil and environment and produce a true and sound wine.

The reasons for turning biodynamic winegrowing :

after being trained to use chemical treatments for/against any kind of diseases/pests, we decided to stop using these chemicals particularly the sprayed ones when we realised they led to some disturbances, particularly some troubles/medically proved (personal ones with « headache »).
our house is located in the center of the estate. It is surrounded by vines that had to be sprayed. we were endangering our wife's and our chidren's health. We wanted them to feel free to run around the vineyard to play, to watch, to touch without the hazard of contamination.
the estate is surrounded by housing estates in the heart of the village. We did not want to contaminate my neighbours, to poison them and be sued.
finally we did not want to poison the consumer who would buy our wines since these chemicals can be traced to some extent in the wine made from grapes exposed to chemicals.
